Atelier-dégustation "Huîtres et Sakés" - Salon Européen du Saké et des boissons japonaises 2018

Pairing-Workshop “OYSTERS & JAPANESE SAKE”

30,00 - COMPLET

Description

Saturday, October 6th, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Flat, cupped or special, they come in many tastes, textures, and flavours to be paired perfectly and amazingly with various types of Japanese Sake.

If French people are in the habit of eating them raw, Japanese people, on the other hand, mostly appreciate them cooked.

Throughout this oidized moment, we’ll be guided by Caroline Madec, owner of an oyster farm in Brittany. She will introduce us to her quality oysters “Prat Ar Coum”, bred in a very special environment called the “abbers”. A place where the exchange between sea and land brings to the oyster a very subtile and particular taste.

A perfect opportunity to enjoy them raw, paired to beautiful sakes.

We’ll continue this “sea journey” along with two chefs of different origin: Bruno Verjus, Michelin Star Chef at the restaurant “Table” and Nobuyuki Akishige, Chef at the restaurant “Automne”. We gave them the challenge of developing new recipes to highlight, in their own way, the flavors and textures of this mollusk… to be paired with wonderful Japanese Sake.

Gabrielle Vizzavona, oenologist and journalist, as well as Sylvain Huet, Sake Samurai, founder of the French Saké Academy and Organiser of the “Salon du Saké”, will join and bring their insights and expertise.
