Mie is a province with beautiful landscapes, a rich history and culture and many traditions.
The 2016 G7 summit was hosted there.
Amongst it famous points of interest, the Ise-Shima National Park allows you to blend
in with Nature, the Ise Shrine is a symbolic place for the country, the Ise Road includes
ancient roads of Kumano recognized as a World Heritage Site, the Iga ninjas or Ama
freediving women are are also worth noticing. Ise’s lobsters, abalone, oysters, but also the
Matsusaka and Iga beefs are gastronomic products valued around the world.
Native from the region, sommelier Hiroyuki OKUNO of the restaurant Pilgrim will join this
presentation as well as sake producers. They will make you savor and understand this one.
A piece of French cuisine will be proposed by Chef Ryuji TESHIMA of the Michelin starred
restaurant Pages, paired with sake from Mie.
A wonderful exploration of the cultural, sakeological and gastronomic potential of the
Mie region.
